In fall 2024, we hosted our second Artist Retreat — a follow-up to the original trip in 2021 that brought together gallery artists for days of painting and connection in the landscape of southern Utah.
Many of the original artists returned for this second retreat, joined by a few new faces from our current roster. Like the first trip, this was an opportunity for artists to work side by side in the field, exchange ideas, and find new inspiration from the land and from each other.
The group returned to Bluff, Utah — a remote and diverse location that sits between Monument Valley and Arches National Park. Artists broke into small groups each day and explored different parts of the region: from the cottonwoods along the river to the towering rock formations of Valley of the Gods and the multi colored hills near Mexican Hat.
At the end of the trip, the group gathered for a final paint out and shared their work in a private "exhibition" back at the hotel — Each artist set up their works to show pieces created over the previous days.
This exhibition presents a selection of work created during and inspired by the 2024 Artist Retreat. It reflects both the individual perspectives and the collaborative spirit of the trip.
