BRETT ALLEN JOHNSON “TWO WORLDS”

SEPTEMBER 6 - 27, 2025

ARTWORK TO BE SOLD BY DRAW-BOX September 6. HOW THE DRAW BOX SALES SYSTEM WORKS: In the event there is more than one interested buyer for any one particular painting, all the names for that one painting will be placed in a hat — and one name will be drawn at random. That person will be the buyer of the painting. We recommend entering your name into multiple paintings to better your chances. Be sure to give us your priority list in the event you are drawn multiple times (1,2,3 etc) or let us know you’d like to purchase all that you are drawn on. If you enter the draw you are obligated to purchase at least one of the paintings you enter for.

The exhibition will be sold by draw-box on opening night. Attendance is not required to purchase. If you are unfamiliar with this sales process, please contact us for details.

“Technique, composition, color and paint handling—they all say something even if we don’t intend them to. That’s ok, and even fun. But the more I can get to the heart of it, the more I can simplify a painting into just the parts I find indispensable, the essence. Those fundamentals become just tools in service of a vision."
- Brett Allen Johnson

TWO WORLDS continues Johnson’s exploration of Southwestern landscapes and the man-made structures encountered in his travels. Though rooted in life, his works go beyond direct representation — distilling each scene to its core while capturing the essence and spirit of the natural world.

When asked about his decision to work on a larger scale for this exhibition, Johnson explained that it felt like the right time and that he was able to clearly envision the pieces after visiting our new Pasadena gallery.
