Maxwell Alexander Gallery is proud to announce High Desert Plateau, a new solo exhibition by American artist Grant Redden, opening May 31, 2025 in Pasadena, CA.
A member of the Cowboy Artists of America, Redden is widely known for his contemplative depictions of the American West. Raised on stories of ranching and frontier heritage, Redden still lives and works on his family’s ranch in Southwest Wyoming—a landscape that continues to shape both his life and art. His deep roots in the American West infuse his paintings with authenticity, honoring the people, animals, and land that define the rhythms of rural life.
High Desert Plateau showcases Redden’s latest body of work, presenting a firsthand look at the high desert landscapes of the American West. The exhibition features a series of oil paintings portraying broad plateaus, changing seasons, and the working cowboy. With a painterly style, Redden captures the solitude of ranch life. These works are personal, echoing the feeling of a life still tied to the land. The exhibition opens Saturday, May 31st at Maxwell Alexander Gallery in Pasadena, and the sale will take place by draw-box on June 7, 2025.
